The Moment
Jon Gosselin is officially a married man again.
The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star, now 48, tied the knot with girlfriend Stephanie Lebo in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Sunday. According to video of the ceremony aired by an entertainment news program in late November 2025, Jon and Stephanie exchanged emotional vows in front of a very small inner circle.
In the front row: Jon’s son Collin and daughter Hannah – two of his sextuplets – plus Stephanie’s daughter, Juliana. The rest of the Gosselin brood, including twins Mady and Cara and the other four sextuplets, were not seen in the wedding footage or mentioned as attending.

Jon, in a gray suit, choked up as he told Stephanie, “Before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason” and called himself “the luckiest man in the world” because he gets to grow old with his best friend. Stephanie answered with her own tearful vows about growing old together and believing in them “then, now and always.”
It’s the fairytale moment you’d expect from a man who once built his entire brand around being a husband and father – except the empty seats where six of his eight kids could have been say a lot about where this story really is.
The Take
I’m happy for Jon and Stephanie on a human level. Everyone deserves a shot at a calmer, healthier chapter, especially after surviving the reality TV industrial blender of the late 2000s.
But let’s not pretend this is just a cozy second-wedding story. It’s more like a reunion episode where half the cast refused to sign the release forms.
Only Collin and Hannah stood up publicly for their dad on his big day. Collin, 21, even served as a groomsman. These are the two children who’ve been closest to Jon for years and who have also been the most vocal critics of their mom, Kate Gosselin.
In recent social media posts, Collin has accused his mother of having an affair with her longtime bodyguard back in 2009, claiming she shared hotel rooms with him on family trips. Kate has previously denied having an affair, and she has not publicly engaged with Collin’s more recent claims.
Jon, for his part, couldn’t resist tossing a little gasoline on the old fire. When news broke that Kate is now romantically involved with that same former bodyguard and made it Instagram official in 2025, Jon posted a screenshot of coverage and wrote, “Guess who really ruined the marriage. Read for yourself.” Subtlety has never been the Gosselin family love language.
So Jon’s wedding isn’t just a sweet little ceremony in Pennsylvania; it’s another plot point in a long, public family fracture. The vows may have been about moving forward, but the guest list is a map of who’s still stuck in the past.
If you grew up or raised kids with “Jon & Kate Plus 8” humming in the background, you might feel a weird mix of nostalgia and exhaustion watching this play out. This was billed as the ultimate big, loving family. Fifteen years and a thousand tabloid headlines later, we’re down to two kids at Dad’s wedding and Mom going public with the former bodyguard.
To me, it’s a cautionary tale. Fame magnified every crack in that marriage, then froze the kids in time as “the sextuplets” while they were trying to grow up as individuals. Now that they’re adults, they’re choosing sides with their feet, not their sound bites – and right now, most of them stayed home.

- Jon Gosselin married Stephanie Lebo in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in late November 2025. Their ceremony, including vows and the kiss, was shown in video aired by a national entertainment news program.
- In that footage, Jon’s children Collin and Hannah are present, along with Stephanie’s daughter, Juliana. Collin serves as a groomsman.
- Jon and Stephanie have been publicly together since at least 2021, appearing on each other’s Instagram accounts and at public events.
- Jon shares eight children with ex-wife Kate Gosselin: twins Mady and Cara and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Leah, Joel, Collin and Hannah. The sextuplets are now in their early 20s and the twins mid-20s.
- Kate and Jon divorced in 2009 after roughly a decade of marriage, following the height of their reality show popularity.
- In 2025, Kate went public on Instagram with a romantic relationship with her former bodyguard, posting photos that fans and media described as a soft launch of their relationship.

Unverified / Alleged:
- Collin has alleged on Instagram that Kate had an affair with the bodyguard during the family’s peak TV years and that she shared hotel rooms with him on trips. These are his claims; Kate has previously denied having an affair and has not recently addressed Collin’s specific accusations.
- Any assumptions about why Jon’s other six children did not attend the wedding are speculation. They have not all spoken publicly about the event.
Backstory (For Casual Readers)
For anyone who only vaguely remembers “that couple with all the kids”: Jon and Kate Gosselin became famous in the mid-2000s thanks to a TLC reality show about raising twins and sextuplets. Viewers watched birthday parties, grocery runs, and a slowly unraveling marriage in real time.

The pair divorced in 2009 after explosive public arguments and cheating rumors. Over the next decade, we saw custody battles, shifting living arrangements, and some of the kids appearing to distance themselves from one parent or the other. Collin, in particular, spent time in a residential program as a teen – something Kate framed as necessary help and Jon and Collin later criticized publicly.
By the early 2020s, the family was scattered: some kids close to Kate, some to Jon, some largely off the public radar. Instead of one big TV family, we got two competing narratives and a lot of silence from the siblings who clearly wanted out.
What’s Next
Jon and Stephanie now step into married life with a built-in, very opinionated audience. Jon has hinted in past interviews that he’d be open to certain kinds of media projects, but there’s no confirmed spin-off, special, or wedding reality deal attached to this ceremony as of now.
The bigger question is whether this wedding changes anything inside the Gosselin family. Do more of the kids quietly reconnect down the line? Does anyone publicly congratulate their dad? Or does Jon’s pointed comment about “who really ruined the marriage” push people further into their corners?
Kate, for her part, seems focused on her own late-in-life romance with the former bodyguard she’s now dating. If she responds at all, it’ll likely be through carefully curated social media, not a public brawl.
What I’ll be watching for isn’t another Gosselin show; it’s whether this family finally chooses some privacy. Eight kids did not sign up to live their twenties as background characters in their parents’ divorce sequel. If Jon and Stephanie really want that peaceful, grow-old-together life they promised each other, stepping out of the spotlight a bit would be a powerful wedding gift to everyone involved.
Your turn: When a reality TV family like the Gosselins is this fractured, do public milestones like weddings help heal anything, or just reopen old wounds?
